Food Drive for the Safehouse
Our emergency shelter needs community help with food items! The Safehouse provides three meals and snacks each day to approximately 30 adults and children seeking safety.
Our greatest need right now is for unexpired, nonperishable canned and boxed food items, including:
Cake mix
Icing for cookies and cake
Diced tomatoes
Assorted pastas
Sugar (white and brown)
Cornbread
Coffee
Coffee creamer
Cereal
Syrup
Tuna fish
Crackers
Ramen soups
Chef Boyardee
Ranch mix packets
Chili (Wolf or Hormel Brand)
Green beans
Dish soap
Peanut Butter
Canned Beans
Kool Aid
Corn
Cooking Spray
These items can be dropped off at any Family Crisis Center Outreach Office between 8am & 5pm, Monday - Friday. Be sure to call ahead for San Augustine, Crockett, and Nacogdoches offices to ensure staff are present.
Housewares Drive!
Family Crisis Center Thrift Stores are accepting donations of gently used and new housewares at both of our thrift store locations. Every donated item helps support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in two important ways: proceeds from thrift store sales fund our free services, and many essential household items are given directly to survivors as they transition into safe, independent housing.

School Supply Drive
The agency is asking for school supplies for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault residing in the Safehouse through Monday, August 3rd.
Items requested include:
Aux earbuds, Binders (red, green, yellow, blue, and purple), Lunch boxes, Crayon boxes, Backpacks, Color pencils, Scissors, Index cards, Markers, Plastic folders, Composition books, Highlighters, Dividers, Pink erasers, Spiral notebooks, Crayons, Construction paper, Pencils, Pens, Manila paper, and reusable water bottles.
Please call ahead for dropoff at Nacogdoches, Crockett, or San Augustine offices to ensure a staff member is present!
