The Janelle Grum Family Crisis Center of East Texas is excited to announce the 11th Annual Blueberry Cupcake Battle during the Texas Blueberry Festival on Saturday, June 14th, 2025. This exciting and delicious event will take place at the festival in downtown Nacogdoches, where the best amateur and professional bakers will compete to create the ultimate blueberry cupcake.

•Location: Texas Blueberry Festival, Mast Hall, 317 E Main St

The Blueberry Cupcake Battle will bring together local talent to showcase their culinary skills and creativity, with each baker using blueberries as the star ingredient. Bakers of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate, and attendees will have the chance to taste the cupcakes and vote for their favorites. Categories are organized by age, 8 to 12 years, 13 to 17 years, and adult divisions, along with an all-ages combined group in the professional division. Awards will be given for Best Overall Cupcake, Most Creative, and People's Choice.

This friendly competition is held to support the Janelle Grum Family Crisis Center's mission of empowering survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and providing essential services to families in need. All proceeds from the cupcake competition will directly benefit survivors in the Family Crisis Center's programs.

"Each year, the Blueberry Cupcake Battle brings a sweet twist to the Texas Blueberry Festival while helping to raise awareness and much-needed funds for our community services," said Whitney Burran, Executive Director. "We invite everyone to come out, enjoy the festival, and support a great cause while indulging in some mouthwatering blueberry treats!"
