Our Thrift Stores

For over 30 years, the Family Crisis Center of East Texas has been offering life changing assistance to survivors of family violence and sexual assault throughout the East Texas area. By donating your family’s gently used household items and clothing to one of our two thrift stores, you are contributing to our mission of keeping families safe and free from abuse. With your support, we can continue to provide quality services to victims within our community.

The thrift stores allow the Family Crisis Center to serve survivors in several ways. First, proceeds generated from the stores go back into the agency for direct client services. Through the self-sufficiency program, the Family Crisis Center is able to provide on-the-job training in the thrift stores. The sessions include education on customer service, stocking merchandise, opening the register, and general training on working in the retail environment. The “Suit Up for Success” program allows the Family Crisis Center to supply thrift store vouchers for clothing to survivors to ensure that they are adequately prepared for job interviews. Vouchers to the thrift stores are also provided to survivors and their children for school clothing and other household items that they may need to begin a new life.

Donations can be dropped off at either location. Contributions of clothing, shoes, bedding, furniture, house wares, books, movies, and toys, are all appreciated.
